Howard A. Pautzke, 86, died Nov. 9, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Sussex, Wis., and lived in Vero Beach for 56 years, coming from Lannon, Wis.
Before retirement, he was a zoning inspector for Indian River County for 12 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a life member of the BPOE Lodge 1774, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Virginia Pautzke, of Vero Beach; son, Daniel Pautzke, of Fort Pierce; daughter, Dianne Pautzke, of Atlanta; brothers, Lloyd Pautzke, of Winona, Minn., and Alfred Pautzke, of Marshfield, Wis.; sister, June Price of Milwaukee; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation: 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
Inurnment will be with honors provided by the Army at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
