The Source opens for emergency night shelter

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – Due to flooding conditions, The Source will be open tonight for emergency weather shelter.

Decision for action is usually made by noon of a shelter day. The cost of opening for overnight shelter is $300 per night.

The Source will provide shelter at its facility located at 1015 Commerce Avenue in Vero Beach. Dinner is served at 5 p.m. on shelter days. Guests must arrive no later than 9 p.m. Breakfast will be provided the following morning.

The Source is a Christian outreach ministry for homeless individuals and families at-risk. The doors of The Source open six days a week to provide people in need with nourishment for the body and soul. The ministry offers daily hot meals, an emergency food pantry, clothing, showers, counseling, support groups and a host of other services. We are located at 1015 Commerce Avenue in Vero Beach.
