VERO BEACH — Police responded to a disturbance on Saturday in which the victim told police he was assaulted by his girlfriend who intentionally pushed a box full of DVDs off of a dresser and onto his head.
Mary Proverb, 43, of 2000th block of 12th Avenue in Vero Beach, faces one charge of battery domestic violence for allegedly striking the victim in the head with the box of DVDs.
According to the arrest affidavit, police saw evidence of an injury on the victim’s face.
Proverb told police she did not intend for the box to hit her boyfriend. She was released on $500 bond.
