Richard Duane Hershberger, 58, of Vero Beach, passed away Aug. 5, 2014.
Born and raised in Florida, Richard worked for the Indian River School System as a maintenance supervisor before retiring. He was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church in Vero Beach.
He loved collecting Indian artifacts, knives, eagles, and spending time at POW WOWs and SeaWorld.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Joan Hershberger; mother, Jean Hershberger; and two brothers: Gary and James Hershberger.
He is survived by three sons, Richard (Melanie) Hershberger, Joseph Hershberger, and Jeremy Hershberger; two daughters, Amy (Jason) Caldwell and Lisa (Phil) Jackson; brother, David (Sylvia) Hershberger; two sisters, Sharon (John) Koors and Colleen (Tim) Sullivan; and nine grandchildren, Nickolas, Jaylen, Harley, Ashtyn, Kayla, Timmy, Nathan, Nevaeh, and Nevin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sebastian River High School Performing Arts Center/ Auditorium on Saturday Aug. 9, 2014, at 2 p.m.
