Kenneth E. Douglas, 74, died Dec. 3, 2012, at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, N.C.
He was born in Anthras, Tenn., and lived in Sebastian for 38 years, coming from Raeford, N.C.
Before retirement, he was a Post Office worker for more than 20 years.
He served more than 20 years in the Army, part of which was served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the DAV Honor Guard, APWU and the American Postal Workers Union.
Survivors include his son, Gary E. Douglas, of Prescott, Ariz.; daughter, Wanda Douglas-Vickers, of Sebastian; sister, Bernice Hollon, of Lake City, Tenn.; brother, Donald R. Douglas, of Lake City; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Alice F. Douglas; and brother, Ronald L. Douglas.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 14 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, Sebastian, followed by inurnment at Sebastian Cemetery with military honors.
