Lauren’s Way box assembly day Dec. 15

VERO BEACH — On Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Master’s Academy, 1105 58th Ave. in Vero Beach, Lauren Weaver from Lauren’s Way, along with local students from Master’s Academy, will assemble and sort Christmas boxes to donate to the homeless of Indian River County. The Homeless Family Center and The Source will arrive for pickup of items at 3 p.m.

Lauren Weaver’s commitment to helping the destitute of Indian River County began when she was only seven years old. Her determination to reach out to the indigent over the past five years has affected the way many Indian River County residents have come to understand the meaning of compassion.

Lauren’s primary focus has been providing direct services to the homeless by funding, preparing, and distributing Christmas gift boxes. Learn more by visiting www.LaurensWay.org.

The Source is a Christian outreach and resource center for the homeless, poor, and needy. The doors of The Source open six days a week to provide people in need with nourishment for the body and soul.

The ministry offers daily hot meals, an emergency food pantry, clothing, showers, counseling, support groups, and a host of other services. They are located at 1015 Commerce Ave. in Vero Beach.
