Michael Andreou, 87, died March 30, 2012, at his home.
He was born on the Greek Island of Samos and lived in Sebastian for 14 years, coming from Rochester, N.Y.
He graduated from college in Greece with a degree in education, flew for the British Royal Air Force during World War II and taught school in Greece before moving to the U.S.
He received a degree in machine design from Rochester Institute of Technology, worked at General Dynamics and retired from Eastman Kodak as a senior mechanical draftsman in Rochester.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Phyllis M. Andreou, of Sebastian; daughters, Michelle Clark and Debbie Harloff, both of Sebastian, and Christine Kwarta, of Rochester; sister, Elpida, of Greece; brothers Kostas and Andrias, both of Greece; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

No services are planned locally.
