VERO BEACH — This February brings an exciting new event to Vero Beach – Wine & Dine for Hibiscus Children’s Center. Spanning from February 9 to 13, the event features private dinners and wine pairings at some of our area’s most exclusive homes, restaurants, and clubhouses.
The weekend-long affair will be “uncorked” on Thursday, Feb. 9 at Northern Trust Bank. Guests will enjoy a food and wine pairing Reception open to the general public. Guests can sample various hors d’oeuvres prepared by Adrienne Drew and wine pairings provided by Rob Wayne of Crown Wine and Spirits. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are just $45 per person.
The weekend continues with the wine dinners each offering a unique gourmet menu, with wines perfectly paired to each course. Seating is limited at each location, and is expected to fill very quickly.
Public locations that will be hosting a Wine & Dine dinner include Osceola Bistro, Regency Park, Cork & Tapas, and Dockside Grille, which is already sold out. Tickets to this portion of the event are $150 per person, with all proceeds going directly to Hibiscus.
For tickets to the reception or information on individual dinners and menus, contact Angela Astrup at 772-978-9313 x 313, email aastrup@hcc4kids.org or visit www.HibiscusWineandDine.org. Crown Wine & Spirits located near the Indian River Mall at 6350 20th Street, Vero Beach will also be selling Reception tickets.
Hibiscus Children’s Center, founded in 1985 by LaVaughn Tilton, is a non-profit organization which addresses the problem of abuse and neglect throughout the Treasure Coast with an expanded Foster Care Program, mental health and substance abuse services, a prevention program to support families in crisis, and services to reduce the number of families entering the dependency court system.
All proceeds from the thrift store are used to offset costs for children’s programs. Shelter and Foster programs are funded in part by United for Families and an additional $2.5 million must be raised each year by Hibiscus through fundraising and local grants to meet overall children’s needs. Hibiscus speakers are available to present to your group or organization.
