Louise Reifsnider Hornung, 78, of Vero Beach, passed away at home on Nov. 2, 2015, after an extended illness
She is survived by Frederick Hornung, and her son Fred (Rick) Hornung of South Carolina, her daughters Laura Belina of Alabama, Jeanne Heinemann of Alabama and beloved canine companion Granger. She is also survived by grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Born on Feb. 1, 1937 in Baltimore, Md., she moved to Wilton Manors, Fla., in 1966 until her move to Vero Beach in 1999 where she became active with the Treasure Coast DAR, and the Florida Irish American Society.
She worked for B&O Railroad as a computer supervisor and then moved to Fort Lauderdale and taught dancing until retiring.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers, sister-in-law Shirley Reifsnider, former husband Frederick Hornung , Pat Nunes, the Indian River Volunteer Ambulance Team and VNA Hospice.
