Therese Jean Thomas, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 1, 2015, at VNA Hospice House.
She is survived by her niece, Sherry Green, of Indianapolis, Ind.; one nephew; two nieces; five step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Claude Bakos and Rudolph Bakos (Mary); parents Rudolpf and Therese Bakos; stepfather Frank; and niece Geraldine.
Thomas was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and had been a longtime resident on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
Prior to retirement, Therese worked as a private care nurse in Port St Lucie and Fort Pierce. She enjoyed gardening and loved growing her roses.
She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 8, at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
