GoLine adds bus shelter near Sheriff’s Office

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that GoLine Indian River Transit has placed a new bus shelter on Route 8 at the stop on 41st Street in front of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office for its riders.

Sheriff Deryl Loar noticed the increased ridership at the stop and requested a bus shelter to better the experience for those individuals. The stop at times has reached more than 25 riders in a day. The newly built shelter at the stop now allows GoLine passengers to wait for the bus without the worry of inclement weather.

Sheriff Deryl Loar said, “We are grateful for GoLine adding a bus shelter to our campus. Many of our citizens visit our campus to retrieve reports, visit loved ones, and report crimes. We are glad they can now have a safe place to be while waiting for the next bus.”

“This is the 39th bus shelter GoLine Indian River Transit has installed so far,” said Karen Deigl, President and CEO of the Senior Resource Association and GoLine Indian River Transit. “We look forward to installing more shelters for our bus stops in the future to provide the best riding experience for all public transit users.”
