Margaret Holsenbeck, 96, Vero Beach

Margaret “Aunt BB” Peters Holsenbeck, 96, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 26, 2014.

She was survived by her nieces Edith Kapel of Columbia, S.C., and Jean Peters Vocelle of Vero Beach; also great-great-nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt BB dearly.

She was predeceased by her parents, and husband, Joseph Holsenbeck (Jodi), as well as siblings, John S. Peters, Norton Peters, Marion Peters Davis, and Julia Peters Maxwell.

Holsenbeck was born Feb. 5, 1918, to parents, Julia Norton and James Sydney Peters, in their home on Quail Roost Rd., in Peters, Fla.

She and Jodi enjoyed a wonderful life in the Florida Keys, where she loved to swim and fish “in her little corner of the world.” She moved to Vero Beach in 2001, where she enjoyed being near her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Vero Beach Museum of Art, 3001 Riverside Park Dr., Vero Beach, FL 32963.
