INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The body of a missing man was found near a pond behind the Ryanwood Plaza off 58th Avenue and State Road 60 on Thursday morning, according to Sgt. Eric Flowers, Indian River County Sheriff’s spokesman.
Thomas Hoffman, 60, who was reported missing in early February, was discovered dead, according to authorities. Hoffman was wearing the same clothes he was last seen in. His identification was on the body.
Detectives confirmed his ID today at the autopsy, and next of kin was notified.
Hoffman was homeless at the time. Authorities said the circumstances of his death were not suspicious.
