Lucy Ann Capparelli, 86, died April 1, 2013, at her home.
She was born in West Springfield, Mass., and moved to Vero Beach in 1986 from New Britain, Conn.
Before retirement, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Newington Children’s Hospital for 27 years.
She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her son, John A. Capparelli, of Brewster, Mass.; daughters, Donna Whiting, of Vero Beach and Marie Medura, of Bristol, Conn.; brothers, Kenneth Maiuri, of Tacoma, Wash., and James Maiuri, of Miami; sisters, Rose Zuccala and Elizabeth Grigaitis, both of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Capparelli; and 13 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. April 5 at the Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. April 6 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
