Winifred “Winnie” Louise Huffman Whitney, 74, died Dec. 8, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Wichita, Kan., and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years.
She was retired from the Avon Co.
She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and many community services.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Richard M. Whitney; children, Janet Duffield, of Woodbine, Ga., Terri Carpenter, of Swannanoa, N.C., Richard M. Whitney Jr., of Yulee and Rodney E. Whitney, of Vero Beach; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 11 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
