Irene E. Poderis, 78, died Feb. 29, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center.
She was a winter resident of Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Schenectady, N.Y.
Before retirement, she was a secretary for the Mohonasen School District in New York.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Anthony Poderis; and daughters, Susan Masto, of Schenectady, Carolyn Champouillon, of Hillsborough, N.J., and Sharon Caruso, of Latham, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Les Horvath.
